Promotions and New Hires Kick Off 2021 at Hall, Kistler & Company!

Hall, Kistler & Company is pleased to announce that Seth Turner, CPA, CVA has been promoted to Manager and Sandra Orcutt, EA has been promoted to Tax Compliance Director. Jeffrey Skakun and Jordan Knapp have been promoted to Senior Accountants as well.
Amber Pennington has been hired as an Administrative Professional at Hall, Kistler and Kory Arner and Mitchell Madenfort as Staff Accountants.

PROMOTIONS
Seth is a manager at Hall, Kistler with more than 15 years of experience serving our clients. He helps manage financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, as well as tax returns for individual and corporate clients. Seth leads the firm's Business Valuation and Fraud niche, where he is a CPA and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and actively contributes to BKR's Business Valuation Committee. He is a graduate of Stark State College and is actively involved in YStark! and the Canton and Alliance Chambers.

Sandra is the tax compliance director with Hall, Kistler, who enjoys helping clients resolve tax issues and notices. She joined our firm in 2013, after working several years for Big Four and corporate accounting firms. Sandra assists our clients with tax planning and strategies and individual, trust, estate, and gift tax returns. Sandra is an Enrolled Agent (EA), where she is admitted to practice before the IRS and is a graduate of the University of Akron. She is involved in the Women's Initiative Network, the Canton Chamber, Jackson local and Central Catholic where her children attend and is a board member at Canton Country Day School.

Jeffrey is a senior accountant for the manufacturing and nonprofit industries, and he has been helping Hall, Kistler clients with their Client Accounting Services (CAS) needs since 2016. As a certified QuickBooks Online accountant, Jeffrey has the latest QuickBooks tools mastered to help our clients successfully manage their businesses. Jeffrey is a graduate of Walsh University and a member of the Canton Chamber.

Jordan is a senior accountant who joined Hall, Kistler in 2017. He works with our nonprofit clients and within our oil and gas and business valuation niches and supports our Client Accounting Service (CAS) as a certified QuickBooks Online accountant. Jordan participates in YStark!, the Canton and Alliance Chambers, Whole Latte Love Cafe, and numerous other local nonprofits.

NEW HIRES
Amber is the new smiling face behind the HK front desk and handles its accounts receivables and billing. Amber loves to learn and is a graduate of North Central State, Stark State College, and holds several diversified certifications. She is involved in YStark!, the Canton Chamber, and is a Stark Fresh Volunteer.

Kory is a staff accountant for the tax department, preparing returns and financial statements. He preps individual and entity tax returns and works on financial statements for all types of entities. Kory attends Kent State University and is a member of the Canton Chamber.

Mitchell is a staff accountant for the tax department, preparing returns and financial statements. He preps individual and entity tax returns and works on financial statements for all types of entities. Mitchell is a graduate of Kent State University and is a member of the Canton Chamber.

IN REMEMBERANCE
Hall Kistler would like to remember partner John Draper (1938-2020). He was a partner at Hall Kistler from 1983-1999. John was a graduate of Kent State University and received his MBA from Akron University. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Theresa and two adult children, and several grandchildren.
