Hall, Kistler & Company Promotes Brian Miller, CPA, MT to Tax Partner, Danielle Shortt to Senior and Adds New staff.

Brian Miller

Brian C. Miller, CPA, MT has recently been promoted from Tax Manager to Tax Partner. His primary focus is in providing tax planning and compliance services for individuals and closely-held businesses. Brian also specializes in tax analysis and auditing. He has experience working with individuals, corporations, partnerships, nonprofits, and sole proprietorships. Brian leads the tax department and serves on other firm committees, where he shares his industry-specific expertise.

Brian joined our team in 2003 after graduating from Mount Union College earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. He later earned his Master of Taxation from the University of Akron. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants(AICPA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), the Ohio Oil and Gas Association(OOGA), and is a member of BKR International and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Danielle Colby

Danielle M. Shortt, Quick Books ProAdvisor joined HK in 2019 and has recently been promoted to senior accountant. In addition to being a Quick Books ProAdvisor, her practice involves bookkeeping and tax preparation.

Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Malone University. She is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), BKR International, Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Women's Initiative Network (WIN).

Barbara Danner recently joined Hall Kistler as a supervisor. She brings to Hall Kistler more than two decades of accounting experience. She assists clients with back-office tasks, prepares financial reports, educates clients on operational efficiency, and prepares various tax returns (payroll, sales and use).

Barbara holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Akron and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), BKR International and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Sarah Stefaniak is the new Hall Kistler, office manager. She is the point person for all aspects of managing our office and its daily operations. Sarah brings with her over ten years of experience managing other offices. She is a Notary for Ohio and studied at Stark State Technical College.
