Karen M. Brenneman, CPA, MT managing partner at Hall, Kistler & Company, has been elected president of the Rotary Club of Canton for the 2011-2012 year. Karen has been a member of the Rotary Club of Canton since 2001 and has held various positions within the organization including, Community Avenue Chair, Vice President, President-Elect and has hosted two exchange students from Thailand and France through Rotary Internationals Youth Exchange program.
The mission of the Rotary Club of Canton is to provide service to others, promote high ethical standards, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
In addition to the Rotary Club of Canton, Karen is actively involved in the community. She is on the finance committee of the Stark Development Board, Canton Regional Chamber Commerce executive board member, treasurer of Meyers Lake YMCA and is a member of the 15th Class of Leadership Stark County.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Masters of Taxation from the University of Akron. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and has recently been elected to the board of BKR International.
